On July 9, the Clarkstown Town Board unanimously granted a zone change for the L’Dor Adult Home.
Representing the owners of L’Dor, we helped to identify a zone change as a method to avoid the need for a use variance in order to expand the existing prior nonconforming use. The project faced initial opposition from neighbors, who were concerned about other potential uses, and also about the current use of the property. Working with the owners and the Town, we were able to overcome those concerns.
We are now working with the owners on a site plan and special permit application.
