Village of Haverstraw
Situated at a strategic corner, the proposed 7-Eleven convenience store and gas station will add commercial strength. The site is located at the intersection of US Route 9W and Gurnee Avenue, which acts as the gateway to the Route 9W retail corridor. It is currently vacant land attached to a small law office. The law office will remain in place, and will share an entry/exit drive with the new 7-Eleven.
The new store will sell typical 7-Eleven convenience products and will have eight fueling stations. Because of its location, the applicant has worked with the New York State Dept. of Transportation to design the site, while also respecting nearby residences.
Working with the applicant, we helped to keep the project as a Type II action under SEQRA, meaning that no additional environmental reviews were needed.
